Ruth Ellis Swing Band
The Ruth Ellis Swing Band 1989

As stated before, the purpose of these pages is to write about bands that either are collectable, or we believe should be. It is not the purpose of these pages to just regurgitate something that somebody else has written elsewhere on the web and because of this it is getting increasing difficult to find worthwhile bands to write about.  However there is still quite a lot of music that is not covered elsewhere. We were going to write about the James Dean Driving Experience since the price of their records keeps
keeps rising but they are covered quite well on tweenet so we have gone one better and written about another indie band with a dubious band title. The
fact that this band only appeared to have released a flexi and that they appear on numerous want's lists (mostly from Japan) make them very collectable indeed. Also there is a link between them and the James Dean Driving Experience in that that they share the same man a certain Philip. In fact, so it says in the Granny Get Your Gun fanzine, Philip left the James Dean Driving Experience to form the Ruth Ellis Swing Band. There is very little else to say about the band apart the fact that obtaining this flexi could cost you quite a lot.
